Ingredients
- 1 cup cracked wheat
- 1 cup mixed lentils (masoor, moong, chana)
- 1/2 kg boneless mutton
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp cumin powder
- 1/2 cup fried onions
- 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
- 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Instructions
1. Soak cracked wheat and mixed lentils in water for a few hours. 2. In a large pot, cook boneless mutton with ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and cumin powder until tender. 3. In a separate pot, cook soaked cracked wheat and lentils until they become mushy. 4. Once both meat and lentil mixture are cooked, blend them together to form a thick paste. 5. In a separate pan, heat oil and fry sliced onions until golden brown. 6. Add the meat-lentil paste to the fried onions and mix well. 7. Add water as needed to achieve desired consistency. 8. Cook on low heat for a few hours, stirring occasionally. 9. Garnish with fried onions, mint leaves, and coriander leaves before serving.
