Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cleaned and slit
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, lemon juice, and vegetable oil to make a marinade. 2. Rub the marinade all over the chicken, making sure to get it into the slits. 3. Marinate the chicken for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. 4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). 5. Place the marinated chicken on a baking tray and cook for about 45-60 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. 6. Serve hot with naan or rice.
