Ingredients

  • 1 kg mutton or chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a karahi or deep pan. 2. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown. 3. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute. 4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft. 5. Add the mutton or chicken pieces and mix well. 6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. 7. Cover and cook on low heat until the meat is tender. 8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
