Ingredients

  • 1 liter full cream milk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds, etc.)

Instructions

1. Boil the milk in a heavy-bottomed pan. 2. When it comes to a boil, add lemon juice and stir to curdle the milk. 3. Remove from heat and strain the curdled milk through a muslin cloth. 4. Rinse the chenna (curdled milk) under cold water to remove the lemon taste. 5. Squeeze out excess water and knead the chenna until smooth. 6. Form into small balls and flatten slightly. 7. In a separate pan, bring water to a boil with sugar and cardamom powder. 8. Add the chenna balls and simmer for 15-20 minutes. 9. Let it cool, then refrigerate. 10. Garnish with chopped nuts before serving.
