Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar

Instructions

1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the tea bags, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, and ginger. Simmer for 5 minutes. 2. Add milk and sugar, bring to a boil. 3. Strain the chai into mugs and serve hot.
